The Arab Forum for Education, Sexuality and Reproductive Health (Muntada) is a non-profit organization that contributes to community development by meeting the needs and educational ambitions that has to do with sexuality and reproductive health within the Palestinian society, through creating a safe space for open discussion which is guaranteed to be effective and interactive with individuals and organizations within the society. Muntada was established in 2015 by a group of passionate yet dedicated group of activists that were moved by the big changes taking place in the Middle East and Arab revolutions, and believed in the importance of promoting and defending sexual rights of individuals and communities all over Palestine, the group was conscious that lack of effective communication around sex and sexuality often gets in the way of tackling global health concerns and deepen certain social issues, with people preferring to keep silent rather than choosing with address sexuality education as a need. Prior to the establishment, the founding activists were former beneficiaries, who received an intensive professional courses on human sexuality. The professional trainings were conducted by The Arab Forum for Education Sexuality and Reproductive Health Organization (MUNTADA) in Haifa. With the expansion Muntada Haifa of its activities in Palestine that got a natural organic promotion through word of mouth, and observing the growing needs and demand in the Palestinian Territories, an urgent need was identified to have an official Palestinian organisation registered in the West Bank that offers specialized service in sexuality education and counselling. Muntada present a professional and intellectual reference that functions locally and work on sexuality issues in general, in addition to building cultural and professional connections with other local, Arab and International organizations that works in the field and share similar progressive values. Muntada seeks to address topics relating to love, sexuality and reproductive health openly and without shame, taking into consideration the cultural and religious values of the target audience. As well as providing the beneficiaries with easy-to-access resources. .
