MUNTADA implement a sexuality training in cooperation with faculty of psychology in An Najah National University
Student of the faculty of psychology received 40 hours training in different subjects in sexuality, during the last evaluation session, student expresses how the workshop helped “to fill the voids” and to raise their self awareness and improve the image that is connected to many traditional belifes about our bodies and secual rights.
The students talked about the feeling of “power” they gained from the new information they learned about sexuality and how their ideology regarding this topic changed. As the workshop added to them in accepting others and their ideas, the students also talked about the positive change the workshop made regarding many issues, from which their self awareness.
MUNTADA- The Arab Forum for Education, Sexuality and Reproductive Health in Palestine with the fund of European Union and through Women in Audio Visual in the Southern Mediterranean grant, in addition to the fund of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fürInternationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and through the Civil Peace Service program (ZFD) will be implementing a regional project (covering the following 7 Arab countries Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia) that addresses gender equality with focus on sexual rights and women’s bodily integrity in the audiovisual sector. This project is co-funded by the European Union under the initiative “SouthMed WiA,Towards Greater Gender.
This workshop is part of a workshop series specialized for Palestinian universities. Beneficiaries of this workshop will receive a training in video making later on during this year.
